IDF Combat engineers destroy nine terrorists' houses

Israeli forces in Judea and Samaria engaged in a variety of operations including destroying terrorist homes and confiscating weapons

Combat engineering forces from the IDF Central Command destroyed the houses of nine Hamas terrorists and dug up roads that covered dozens of IEDs. Engineering forces have also placed 200 armored guard posts and deployed 10,000 meters of security fence throughout Judea and Samaria.

Combat engineers also worked to uncover buried explosives around towns with a high threat level, reinforced security installations at the entrances to towns such as armored gatehouses and speed bumps, and neutralized dozens of IEDs over the course of several recent operations.

The commander of the engineering forces, Colonel Adir Reines, commented: "Our engineering forces at all levels are working to reinforce security infrastructures and prepare operational defenses. This is being accomplished by constructing obstacles, protecting our forces, and extending the system of guardposts and sentry positions on the roads and in towns."

"At the same time, our engineers are taking an offensive role in destroying terrorists' houses, overcoming IEDs, and damaging enemy infrastructure in refugee camps. The engineering forces are working day and night to improve the security of our forces and our residents."

Over the last week, Israeli security forces have arrested 37 wanted individuals, of which more than 10 were connected with Hamas.

In a counter-terrorism operation in the city of Qalqiliya, numerous suspects were interrogated and three individuals were arrested. During the operation, terrorists fired at the Israeli forces, who returned fire. Multiple direct hits were confirmed.

In the town of Birzeit in the Binyamin region, following ISA intelligence, Israeli forces discovered storehouses near the University of Birzeit containing significant quantities of Hamas equipment, including displays of different kinds of weapons that are used by the terrorist organization's student supporters for military parades and rallies supporting terror attacks.

In the cities of Al 'Aqaba and Nazlet Isa in the Menashe region, improvised 'Carlo' submachine guns and hunting rifles were confiscated.

In Ein Yabrud, in the Binyamin region, security forces seized two air pistols, munitions, and Hamas flags. In Hebron, another air rifle was confiscated. In Bayt Fajar, an improvised gun was confiscated

I would like to see sympathy laden term “refugee camp” discontinued. A “camp” is a temporary, non-permanent dwelling, not one made of concrete. And the term “refugee” should have a time limit.
