The "New York Times" said that the media propaganda of the Houthis has become global, and that launching missiles at Israel and operations in the Red Sea has brought them great popularity around the world.

Today the American newspaper published an article translated by the website "Had Yemen", which read:

"During the past few months, the Houthis have emerged around the world, launching missiles at Israel and attacking ships in the Red Sea while causing limited damage, but this has disrupted the flow of world trade.

"The Houthis have announced that a direct battle with the US is their goal, and in the recent demonstrations, their supporters read a line from a famous song of the Houthis: "We don't care, we don't care. This is a big world war."

"The Houthis, for a long time, skilled producers of propaganda, have created persuasive poetry, TV shows and music videos to spread their messages, but they have never had a large audience like now, like the war in the US. The Gaza Strip pushes them into the heart of the battle for global accounts and attracts new audiences in the region."

"Many people with large social media followings were eager to share pro-Houthi messages in English, praising the group for challenging Israel and its main ally, the United States."

The Houthis described themselves as an anti-imperialist force, fighting corruption and foreign influence, and adopted a slogan they used at rallies that included the phrase "Death to America, death to Israel, curse the Jews."
