The Arab League has strongly condemned Iran’s recent escalation against civilian targets and vital infrastructure in the Persian Gulf, warning that the attacks risk pushing the Middle East into a dangerous and unpredictable phase of conflict.
IRAN INTERNATIONAL -- Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit described the strikes on civilian sites and critical facilities as a grave strategic mistake, calling them reckless actions that threaten regional stability. He warned that targeting civilian infrastructure could significantly widen the conflict and deepen tensions across the region.
According to the Arab League, Iranian attacks on civilian facilities risk drawing additional countries into the confrontation and escalating hostilities throughout the Gulf and the broader Middle East.
In response to the rapidly deteriorating situation, Arab League foreign ministers are scheduled to hold an emergency meeting on Sunday to discuss the escalating tensions and potential diplomatic steps.
