If there was no Israel, one would have to be invented. These are friendships that cannot be broken between the countries. There is much work ahead of us as partners to bring stability to the Middle East.
I spoke with Netanyahu yesterday and told him that America's commitment to Israel is stable and strong and we are committed to ensuring that Iran does not have nuclear weapons
President Herzog to Biden:
I bring with me a message of gratitude from the entire State of Israel and from all ends of the political spectrum. Almost 50 years since you entered politics and you have always stood by the State of Israel.
Some enemies may think that the fact that we have differences of opinion between the two countries affects our cooperation and it is not so. You also talked about the internal situation in Israel and we will talk about that.
My heart is in the turbulent internal debate in Israeli society, but this testifies to the greatness and prosperity of Israeli democracy. Israeli democracy is stable and immune.
We are going through challenges but I believe we must find a consensus and a middle way. I am trying even now through my people to find a way out of this crisis.
