Yahalom unit fighters destroy major underground route connecting Khan Younis and Rafah
On July 2, 2025, the IDF Combat Team from the Kfir Brigade, under Division 36, continued operations in southern Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip.
In coordination with elite Yahalom engineering units, troops raided a central and complex underground junction discovered in the area. This tunnel network included several routes used by terrorist organizations in Gaza.
In a separate operation, a significant underground passage approximately 2.5 kilometers long and 39 meters deep was located and destroyed. This route connected the areas of Khan Younis and Rafah.
The Kfir Brigade Combat Team continues its missions across Gaza in accordance with Israel’s war objectives—chiefly, to protect Israeli civilians and especially those living in the Gaza border communities.
