The IDF releases first documentation of its forces holding forward defensive positions across southern Lebanon as part of an expanded security posture.
IDF Northern Command forces are currently holding several strategic points in southern Lebanon as part of a forward defense concept designed to strengthen protection for Israel’s northern communities.
According to the military, Division 91 is operating in eastern southern Lebanon, Division 210 is active in the Mount Dov area, and Division 146 is deployed in western southern Lebanon. The maneuver includes coordinated infantry, armored, and engineering units working in full synchronization.
The IDF says the move is intended to create an additional layer of security for residents of northern Israel, continue neutralizing threats, and prevent infiltration attempts into Israeli territory.
