Today marks Israel’s annual Aliyah Day, a national holiday celebrating the contributions of immigrants to the State of Israel.
Aliyah Day is celebrated on the 7th day of the Hebrew month of Cheshvan, which coincides with the weekly Torah portion discussing Abraham leaving his home and moving to the Land of Israel – the first Aliyah in history.
Over 276,000 immigrants have immigrated to Israel in the past decade alone. We are really proud of all the immigrants who left their families, friends, and homes behind in order to build the Zionist dream in Israel.
