It is now allowed to be published that in a joint operation of the Shin Bet and the IDF, in recent months, a number of Palestinians residents of Judea and Samaria were arrested
They planned attacks against Israeli citizens, this under the direction of Alam Kaabi, originally from Nablus, an activist of the Popular Front who was deported to the Gaza Strip as part of the Shalit deal and currently resides in Lebanon.
Alam Kaabi leads terrorist activity in the territories of Judea and Samaria, in the framework of which he recruits Palestinian terrorist operatives, some of whom are even close to his family, in order to carry out attacks against Israelis.
In this framework, the Shin Bet interrogated a number of activists including Murad Kaabi, a resident of the refugee camp in Lata in Nablus, a relative of Alam and Khaled Abu Al Hija, a resident of Jenin.
In the Shin Bet investigation of Murad Kaabi, it emerged that *he was instructed by Alam to carry out shooting attacks. As part of the investigation, two M16 weapons that were in the possession of the activists were seized.* In the investigation of Khaled Abu Al Hija, it emerged that he was recruited by Alam to carry out attacks and head a military squad that will operate in the Jenin area. For these serious offenses, indictments were filed against the two in the Samaria Military Court.
In addition to Murad Kaabi and Khaled Abu Al Hijah, other Palestinians were arrested who worked to promote terrorist activity directed by Alam.
The General Security Service, together with the IDF and the Israel Police, will continue to thwart any terrorist activity - including that carried out by terrorist operatives from Israel under the direction and intent of terrorist operatives outside of Israel, such as Alam Kaabi.
