Israel’s government approved the initiative of the Ministries of Tourism and Transportation to build a cable car between the Galilee and Mount Tabor. Located in Lower Galilee, Mount Tabor rises above the Jezreel Valley.
The Ministries said the cable car will “significantly upgrade accessibility to some of Israel’s most prominent tourist and heritage sites, strengthen tourism in the north, and create a regional growth engine.”
According to the government’s decision, the ministries of tourism and transportation will promote the construction of a cable car that will depart from the Kfar Tabor complex and connect Nazareth, Nof HaGalil and Mount Tabor. The cable car route includes an intermediate station in Kfar Shibli, which will allow a direct connection between Nazareth, Nof HaGalil, Kfar Shibli and Mount Tabor.
