The ‘Drakon’ (Dragon) is hailed as the most advanced submarine in the Israeli Navy, equipped to carry a range of weaponry, sophisticated intelligence systems, and specialized gear for elite Special Forces operations.

The IDF and Israel Ministry of Defense unveiled the INS "Drakon," (Dragon) a new, strategically equipped Dolphin AIP-class submarine, enhancing Israel’s operational reach.

A ceremony at Germany's "Kiel" shipyard marked its naming, attended by Israeli Navy Chief VADM David Saar Salama, Deputy Defense Director Zeev Landau, and Israeli Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor.
