New satellite images reportedly show extensive destruction at Shiraz Air Base in Iran, including damaged aircraft, hardened shelters and key support infrastructure.
Satellite images from Iran’s Shiraz Air Base reveal extensive damage following Israeli airstrikes, including the destruction of several Iranian military aircraft and major damage to protected shelters and supporting infrastructure.
According to the imagery analysis, the destroyed aircraft include an Il-76 transport plane, two C-130H transport aircraft and several Sukhoi fighter jets. The damage appears to strike directly at Iran’s military airlift capability — a key part of Tehran’s ability to move forces, equipment and supplies across the region.
Beyond the aircraft losses, the images show heavy destruction to hardened aircraft shelters and operational facilities at the base. The strike is another indication of the scale of the damage sustained by Iran’s military infrastructure during the campaign, and the price Tehran continues to pay for its regional war machine.
