Former Brigadier General Yossi Kuperwasser says Hezbollah is rebuilding and deterred, meaning a major war is not inevitable—if pressure on Lebanon continues.
Former Brigadier General Yossi Kuperwasser outlined on Wednesday the current situation on Israel’s northern border in an interview with Ido Tauber, assessing whether the next major confrontation with Hezbollah is truly imminent.
He warned that the threat from Hezbollah and Iran remains very real, with ongoing and visible efforts by both to strengthen their capabilities across the northern arena and beyond. Hezbollah continues trying to rebuild, rearm, and recover from the heavy blows it absorbed in previous clashes.
Asked whether a significant confrontation is “just around the corner,” Kuperwasser offered a cautious outlook: “Not necessarily. It could happen, but it is not inevitable, and real efforts are being made to prevent it.”
