Israeli warplanes bombed an Iranian research center used to develop nuclear weapons technology, the IDF announced on Thursday afternoon.

According to an army spokesperson, the Israeli Air Force recently carried out strikes on the Taleghan-2 facility, a top-secret nuclear weapons research facility located inside the Parchin Military Complex southeast of Tehran.

“In recent years, the site was used to develop advanced explosives and to conduct sensitive experiments as part of Project ‘Amad,’ the secret program for developing nuclear weapons in the 2000s,” the IDF said.
