What we are witnessing around the world is not moral outrage — it is ideological rot.
It is entirely understandable why corrupt leaders rush to condemn the US operation that led to the arrest of Venezuela’s dictator, Nicolás Maduro. They see the writing on the wall. If one dictator can be dragged into the light, others may follow. Self-preservation, not principle, drives their outrage.
Even elements within the corrupt Democratic party establishment find themselves uncomfortably close to this camp.
But the truly disturbing phenomenon is not elite hypocrisy. It is the sight of young people — students, activists, self-styled “progressives” — pouring into the streets to protest the removal of a brutal tyrant.
