Three Israelis who went snowboarding rescued from Japan's Mount Hakuba, after being trapped there for hours

Three Israeli snowboarders stranded on Mount Hakuba in northern Japan have been rescued, Israeli Ambassador to Japan Gilad Cohen announced on Tuesday morning.

They had been stuck there for around 12 hours, and due to severe weather conditions, authorities said that rescuers couldn't have  be sent out until the morning.

The trio are reservists aged 27-28 and became trapped after straying from the marked snowboarding trail. They are trapped in sub-zero temperatures in a state of hypothermia.

Maybe IDF reservists should stay closer to home on their breaks. Between New Orleans and Japan, as a mom, I’m protective of them and want them to be careful.
