IDF spokesman: Authorized for publication: Since the beginning of the war, IDF forces have carried out dozens of targeted operational activities in the territory of southern Lebanon to neutralize and destroy Hezbollah's combat compounds and weapons*
In recent months, IDF forces have carried out dozens of targeted operational activities in southern Lebanon, to destroy and neutralize Hezbollah's terrorist capabilities and infrastructure in the villages and areas near the border, which threaten the settlements in the north.
The Northern Command, under the direction of intelligence information from the Intelligence Division, led dozens of targeted raids by IDF forces, in Hezbollah's fighting compounds in southern Lebanon, in order to damage the ability of Hezbollah's 'Radwan Force' and prevent it from carrying out its desire to harm the citizens of Israel.
The fighters raided the villages and the tangled areas, broke through underground hatches in the targets along the border, exposed weapons caches, terrorist evaluation complexes and more. During the activities, the forces gathered valuable intelligence, destroyed and thoroughly neutralized the weapons and compounds, including underground infrastructure and advanced Iranian-made weapons.
During 200 nights, hundreds of days and dozens of operations in enemy territory, the forces uncovered, neutralized and destroyed underground compounds, attacked thousands of military targets, warehouses of weapons, dozens of tons of explosives, residences for activists, headquarters and more. Some of the means of warfare were taken to Israeli territory.
The IDF continues to work to undermine Hezbollah's capabilities and infrastructure and push it out of the border area, so that the residents of the north can return to their homes safely.
