WATCH: Danish PM Mette Frederiksen sends blunt message to criminal migrants in New Year’s speech
In her New Year’s Eve address, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen delivered an unusually direct warning to migrants involved in crime, making clear that Denmark will not tolerate violence, intimidation, or imported criminal cultures.
“To those who have come here and commit crimes: you shouldn’t be here,” Frederiksen said. “We don’t want your reckless driving or your culture of dominance. You’re destroying the world’s most beautiful country.”
Her remarks reflect a broader shift in Danish policy and rhetoric, emphasizing national cohesion, public safety, and zero tolerance for criminal behavior — regardless of background. Denmark has in recent years tightened immigration laws, increased deportations of criminal foreigners, and openly rejected multicultural policies that undermine social trust.
