The decision on the location of Nvidia’s new mega-campus in Israel is nearing.
Project managers recently returned from meetings in the U.S., and the final choice is expected as early as next month. Out of dozens of proposals submitted nationwide — from Haifa to Netanya — only three northern municipalities remain in the race: Megiddo, Kiryat Tivon, and Kiryat Ata.
The project has drawn significant government involvement. Both the Finance Ministry and the Israel Land Authority are advancing special measures to make the deal more attractive to the American chip giant. These include granting Nvidia an exemption from the usual tender process and offering major discounts on land costs.
Israel plays a central role in Nvidia’s global operations. The company employs thousands of engineers in the country and views its Israeli R&D teams as a cornerstone for innovation in areas such as artificial intelligence, networking, and chip design.
