Hezbollah established an operations room in southern Syria to manage drug smuggling to Jordan

The Syrian opposition website "Tajma Ahrar Khoran" quoted unnamed private sources who said that an operations room led by three Lebanese Hezbollah members is located in the facility near the town of Kharb al-Shaham west of Daraa, through which they conduct the smuggling.

The sources stated that Hezbollah commanders have been in the area for about a month and their work focuses on developing smuggling plans and determining quantities and methods of smuggling.

They coordinate with local groups, including a commander in Syrian military intelligence, Mustafa Qassem al-Masalma, who secures shipments from the Syrian region to the Jordanian border.

The Ahrar Khoran added that, in addition to his work in securing drug shipments and smuggling them, Mustafa al-Masalama recently began working in Captagon production.
