WATCH: Former Hamas official: October 7 was a disastrous mistake

NEWSRAEL: This admission does not reflect remorse for the victims of October 7. It reflects regret that Israel responded with overwhelming force.

Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Madhoun says many Hamas decision-makers would not have launched the massacre had they understood the destruction it would bring upon Gaza.

A former senior Hamas official has admitted that many of the terrorist organization’s leaders might have opposed launching the October 7 attack had they known the scale of the consequences for Gaza.

Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Madhoun, a former Hamas minister and head of its Refugee Affairs Department, made the admission during a podcast recorded in Gaza.
