Macron Speaks to Bennett on Pegasus Affair

French President Emmanuel Macron spoke Thursday with his Israeli counterpart Naftali Bennett and expressed his concern over the phone tracking affair.

According to reports, the Pegasus spyware, developed by Israeli firm NSO Group, has tracked phones of NGO activists, journalists, and possibly even the phone of the French president.

Macron asked Bennett to seriously take care of the affair and alluded that security ties between the nations are in jeopardy.

The Israeli premier promised to handle the case and will send Defense Minister Benny Gantz to Paris to report developments to the French.
