In a shocking and under-reported case, three men have been convicted of first-degree murder for their roles in a shooting spree aimed at eliminating an entire family at their takeout restaurant, Chicken Land, in Mississauga, just outside Toronto.
The National Telegraph revealed that Naqash Abbasi, 34, Suliman Raza, 28, and Anand Nath, 23, were found guilty in what has been described as an unprecedented crime in Canada.
A TRIAL LIKE NO OTHER
The trial was marked by its extreme and disturbing details. Crime scene photos were graphic, and the text messages between suspects were explicit. The police work was exemplary, tracking nearly every move of the defendants.
Crown prosecutor David D’Iorio stated on the trial’s opening day that the three men were part of a home-grown terrorist cell affiliated with ISIS, the Islamic State. This revelation added a layer of terror to an already horrific crime.
