Defense Minister Israel Katz made two highly significant comments about the Iranian arena, signaling that Israel is not treating the last round against Tehran as the end of the campaign.

According to Katz, he has instructed the IDF to prepare for a possible new operation in Iran under the name “Blue and White.” The message is clear: Israel intends to preserve independent military freedom of action, even if the diplomatic track with Iran continues.

Katz also referred to the reported plan attributed to former Mossad chief David Barnea for actions that could have helped bring down the Iranian regime. In a revealing comment, Katz said that “external elements” were supposed to join the effort, but were not allowed to do so.
