Early this morning, an IDF force entered the Syrian settlement near the fence in the Syrian Golan Heights – Jabata al-Khashab and arrested 7 terror suspects and brought them to Israel for further interrogation.
Apparently, this is a foiling of a terror cell that was about to carry out an attack towards Israeli territory.
The origin of those arrested is unclear, but it is likely a dormant terror cell left behind by Hezbollah and Iran and consisting mainly of Hamas operatives whom the Golani regime allowed to establish themselves opposite the Israeli border. Information about the cell was received from local people.
It is estimated that the information obtained from the interrogations of the 7 terrorists brought for questioning in Israel will lead to continued raids by IDF forces in an effort to cleanse the entire area opposite the Golan border of terrorist elements that the Syrian regime is not aware of or does not want to act against.
