Reports have revealed that the IDF carried out a large and unconventional military operation deep inside Syria, described as the largest in recent decades in Syria, which extended approximately 38 to 40 kilometers into Syrian territory near Mount Sheikh.

According to reports, hundreds of commando soldiers participated in the operation, along with Druze reserve brigades and an artillery battalion that moved deep into Syria for the first time since October 7th.

The operation was led by the Commando Division 98 under the direction of the Northern Command. The operation also included, among other things, securing IDF convoys and vehicles.
