Clashes break out among hundreds of guests amid internal divisions over 10/7 attack.
A large-scale fight broke out during a wedding attended by around 300 guests in Gaza, after a heated argument erupted between different local clans over whether Hamas had made a mistake by carrying out the October 7 massacre.
According to reports, the confrontation quickly escalated into a violent brawl, reflecting deep and growing divisions within Gazan society over Hamas’ actions and their consequences. Despite the ongoing ceasefire framework—which was expected to lead to Hamas being disarmed and dismantled—the group remains active on the ground.
Notably, Hamas itself was reportedly responsible for providing “security” at the wedding, underscoring its continued control and influence inside Gaza even as internal criticism appears to be rising.
