Although still a minority, this is a record-breaking number that marks a milestone for the field, which requires women and men to meet equal standards in physical, and mental tasks; 'It is fun to break glass ceilings,' says one.

As of today, out of 2,150 total firefighters in Israel, only 15 are women. In all of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, the largest in Israel, there is only one woman firefighter.
