Thick smoke and flames were seen rising from the facility as emergency crews rushed to contain the blaze.

While Iranian officials have yet to confirm the cause of the fire, some sources suggest the plant is linked to the country’s armed forces and plays a role in producing specialized components for drones and missiles.
