WATCH: Mourners Sing ‘Hatikva’ at Fallen Soldier’s Funeral

The Israeli national anthem, “Hatikva,” is heard at the funeral of Elon Weiss, who was killed in an explosion in Northern Gaza on Saturday.

Weiss, 49, served in the 8th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 129th Battalion and leaves behind seven children and a granddaughter.

Weiss’s commander described him as a “veteran and dedicated fighter… an educator in both routine times and during emergencies. You always acted patiently.”
