Royal Bournemouth Hospital’s new building for maternity, pediatrics, emergency and critical care is using Buildots’ technology for greater efficiency
A new building at Royal Bournemouth Hospital is the first healthcare facility in the UK being constructed using artificial intelligence (AI) technology from Israel’s Buildots to increase efficiency and decrease costs.
Buildots’ technology automatically analyzes data captured at the site via helmet-mounted 360-degree cameras.
The platform then generates true-to-life progress reports supported by visuals, providing managers and stakeholders with accurate, objective data and analysis, leading to improved efficiency.
Royal Bournemouth Hospital’s new 22,650-square-meter BEACH building (Births, Emergency And Critical Care, Children’s Health), constructed by Integrated Health Projects according to high sustainability standards, is part of a National Health Service (NHS) transformation of University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) hospitals.
“By embracing Buildots smart technology, we’re able to use AI and 3D model vision to efficiently track build progress compared with design and schedule to help ensure we remain on course,” said IHP Project Director Bruce Preston.
