Expert David Wormser explains the agreement between the Kurds and the new Syrian regime.
Against the backdrop of the signing of the agreement between the Kurdish forces and the Syrian government led by al-Julani, we spoke with Middle East affairs commentator David Wormser.
Wormser says, among other things: "In the long term, these deals will be very shaky, if not unworkable, simply because the fundamental interests are not aligned."
"In the next year, two, three. I think the biggest developments right now are the Christians and the Druze in Lebanon and Syria, because it seems like both of them are showing signs that they want to come under some kind of Israeli protective umbrella," adds Wormser.
