Strategic initiative to secure Israeli industry access to modernization projects targeting organized crime and narco-terrorism across rivers and open waters
The Isaac Accords initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between Israel and Latin American countries, creating a major opening for Israeli defense industries to lead fast-growing maritime-security modernization programs across the region.
Latin America’s maritime-defense sector is expanding rapidly as states confront regional tensions, rising organized crime, and narco-terror networks that rely on river routes and open-sea channels. Modernization efforts include upgrading existing naval-security systems and launching new programs that replace outdated technologies.
Planned upgrades span a wide range of capabilities: offshore patrol vessels (OPVs), frigates, command-and-control systems, ISR platforms, tactical communications, electronic-warfare systems, coastal-defense solutions, maritime-border protection, small and medium naval craft, riverine vessels, and specialized technologies for elite units.
