WATCH: Fatah official in Lebanon: How we use "fake condemnations" in public

Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas sponsored and planned attacks against Israel, Arafat would then condemn them in public; Armed struggle – like the 1972 Munich Olympic Massacre – has been effective in achieving our goals.

In an October 3, 2025 show on Awda TV (Palestinian Authority), Fatah head of ideological guidance in Tripoli, Lebanon, Muna Abu Harb praised Palestinian armed struggle, specifically the 1972 Munich Massacre.

She said that Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas were the main sponsors and planners of such operations, but occasionally issued "fake condemnations" in public, as it was inappropriate for a head of state to openly support them.
