Trump on the hostage deal: "We're going to see it happen very soon, and it better hold."

Trump added that he told Prime Minister Netanyahu: "Keep doing what you have to do. It has to end, we want it to end, but keep doing what you have to do." Trump also said that a meeting with Netanyahu would be held soon.

"Respect. The United States has to restore its respect, and it has to restore that respect quickly. Respect is the main word I use. If they respect us, the ceasefire will hold, if not, the gates of hell will open."

It seems like the only way to make this a palatable deal for Israel is to hope that Hamas breaks the ceasefire after the hostages are released. That would green light Israel’s right to destroy Hamas.

Trump’s big mouth may kill the hostages. Hamas may see this as a way of igniting the big Jihad, and they’ll kill the hostages, to call his bluff.
