NEWSRAEL has reported on the Cholera breakout in Syria a few times. There are over 1,000 active cases there, but now it seems that the Cholera has spread to Lebanon, where there are 14 new cases as of today.
All the new cases in Bakhar province, where the first three cases were also discovered. In six of the cases, the usual symptoms of the disease appeared (fever, diarrhea, dehydration), which led to their hospitalization in the government hospital in Halba, the capital of the province. In eight cases no symptoms appeared.
The laboratory deciphered the samples taken from the baby who died yesterday in the hospital. He also suffered from cholera.
