As the deadline approaches under US law, when TikTok is supposed to be sold from China to an American company or completely blocked from use in the US, US President Trump says that China may receive a tariff discount if it agrees to an American purchase of TikTok.

According to Trump, "Maybe I'll give them a little discount on tariffs or something to make it happen, because every cent on tariffs is worth more money than TikTok."

Currently, the deadline for the decision is April 5, after Trump already extended the deadline at the beginning of his term.
