Iran established two operations rooms against Syria, one in Lebanon and one in Iraq, and recruited hundreds of officers who fled in preparation for increased activity
According to regional security sources, Iran established two operations rooms (operations rooms) a few weeks ago, one in Iraq and the other in the town of Badita near the Syrian-Lebanon border, in order to closely monitor the situation on the ground in Syria.
According to the sources, since the fall of the Assad regime, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are interested in leaving hundreds of officers from Division 4 and the military intelligence services in Lebanon and Iraq, given their ability to communicate with many of the former elements who were associated with them, and their knowledge of the places where Assad's weapons were stored before the fall.
The latest moves, led by Brigadier General Ghaith Dalla, commander of the 4th Division, who has close ties to Lebanese Hezbollah, were coordinated with Hezbollah, which recently transferred some support to the coastal areas through the Homs governorate, taking advantage of the fragile security situation.
