French authorities have arrested Shahin Hazami, a dual French-Iranian citizen identified as a key agent of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to intelligence sources, Hazami has been operating on behalf of the Iranian regime in France since 2022.
Hazami is believed to have played a leading role in organizing pro-regime demonstrations in Paris, using these events to promote Iranian state narratives and monitor dissident activity. His activities reportedly intensified over the past year, raising alarms among French security agencies.
Recently, Hazami traveled to Beirut, where he met with senior Hezbollah officials—a development that deepened suspicions about his connections to Iran’s regional proxy network. Hezbollah, designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, France, and the European Union, has long-standing ties to the IRGC.
Authorities have not yet released formal charges but confirmed that Hazami is in custody pending further investigation. French intelligence services are continuing to assess the extent of his operations and network within Europe.
