Iran reminds Assad who his "real" friends are

Reuters quoted a "foreign diplomat" as saying that "Ali Khamenei, through his senior adviser Ali Larijani, sent a message to Assad that he must not forget the past!" In the message, Khamenei reminded Assad not to forget who his true allies are.

According to Reuters, in recent months the UAE and Saudi Arabia have offered Bashar Assad distance himself from Iran in exchange for "financial incentives."

A report published today quoted one of these diplomats as saying: "These incentives could not have been provided without coordination with Washington."

Lebanese sources reported that the UAE had pledged to help Syria rebuild its infrastructure, if only to "keep Assad away from Iran."

Friendship is pretty cheap in Syria these days. It seems that Iran is in fear of losing its land bridge to Lebanon. Good for Israel but the HTC group are terrorist too. They will attack Israel later!
