US Army CENTCOM: We destroyed a remotely operated bomb boat on its way to the attack and two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis from Yemen
The Al-Masira TV network (المسيرة), which is affiliated with the Yemeni Houthi militia, announced today, Friday, that the United States and Great Britain launched an attack on an area in Hodeidah Governorate in western Yemen.
The channel reported that the American-British attack targeted a farm in the Al-Kadan - Al-Kadan area in two bombing runs, without going into further details.
In an official statement, CENTCOM said: "On March 21, between 8:50 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. (Sana'a time), a coalition aircraft successfully detected and destroyed a remotely controlled ballistic missile (USV) launched by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists from an area under their control in Yemen.
The announcement stated that "coalition forces managed to intercept and destroy two anti-ship ballistic missiles launched by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen towards the Red Sea. No injuries or damage to American or coalition ships were reported."
In the announcement, they added: "These weapons represent an immediate threat to coalition forces and commercial vessels in the area. These measures are taken to protect freedom of navigation in an effort to make international waters safer for coalition forces and commercial vessels."
