Lebanese researcher Ismail Al-Najjar, in a string of October 2025 interviews, glorified martyrdom and warned that Hezbollah will violently resist any effort to disarm it.
Hizbullah-affiliated Lebanese researcher Ismail Al‑Najjar advocated for martyrdom in a September 19, 2025 interview with Podium Plus on YouTube asking whether the “culture of life” people advocate meant discos, nightclubs, arak, and cocaine, adding: “…but our life is different than yours.”
Al‑Najjar insisted that Hizbullah is an immovable mountain and warned that anyone who tries to disarm them will have to do so “over our dead bodies” — he caveated that there was no guarantee it would be over Hizbullah’s dead bodies, saying: “it could be over your dead bodies.” He stressed the threat plainly: “If they try to take our weapons by force, we will cut them to pieces.” He said that Hizbullah still had leverage and could resume firing rockets at central Israel and Tel Aviv.
In an October 18, 2025 interview with Opinion Media, Al-Najjar said that funding to Hizbullah is still coming and that they had plenty of weapons. He claimed that Syrian dealers had sold Hizbullah more weapons than Iran had provided in 18 years, including missile launchers that Russia had given to Syria. He added that Syrians selling to Hizbullah included people from President Al‑Sharaa’s circle, who he said had helped Hizbullah more than former President Bashar Al‑Assad did.
In an October 25, 2025 interview with Spot Shot on YouTube, Al-Najjar warned that Hizbullah would not remain silent for long and would retaliate against Israel. He said that he suckled hatred of Israel at [his] mother’s breast and that Israel would remain an enemy even if not a single one of their children remains alive.
