In a July 26, 2025 speech, Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi harshly criticized the Palestinian Authority, rejected any peace with Israel, and declared that she is represented only by what she called the “resistance.”
In her address, Tamimi described the Palestinian Authority as the greatest obstacle to the Palestinian national struggle, accusing it of betraying the cause and suppressing what she views as true resistance.
She said that Palestinians who seek dialogue or peace with Israel are not legitimate representatives of the people and claimed they are “siding with their executioners.”
Tamimi went further by stating that her opposition is not limited to Zionism, but extends to Judaism itself. She said she continues to view Jews as “terrorists” and rejected any calls for coexistence or compromise. Questioning peace efforts, she asked how peace could be pursued after what she described as the loss of Palestinian “soul” and sacrifices, while people, in her words, are “begging for peace” despite hunger and suffering.
