Turkey takes Israel's threats to eliminate Hamas leaders all over the world seriously. The Turkish newspaper "Horiyat" reported on Friday that the Turkish intelligence services "took appropriate measures" to prevent the Israeli Mossad from carrying out assassinations of the leaders of the Hamas movement in Turkey, and even informed Israel of this.
The newspaper added that Turkey sarcastically told the Mossad and the Shin Bet, "who were dormant during the October 7 attack," that the Turkish National Intelligence Service and the Counterintelligence Department work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
According to the report, "all measures have been increased including the use of all capabilities the technologies. The defense system in Turkey is activated against these activities 24 hours a day."
The newspaper mentioned that as part of the Shalit deal that was kidnapped in 2006, Turkey agreed to take in some of the Hamas freedmen and Israel thanked it for that. Also, the Turkish intelligence services acted last year to foil a raid against tourists in Istanbul, the newspaper added.
The newspaper emphasized that there is an agreement between Turkey and Hamas that the members of the organization in Turkey will deal only with the political side.
