MIKE WATSON, THE WASHINGTON FREE BEACON -- The Beltway consensus is that Americans will look back fondly on 2024. Other than the major war or two, the Biden years were a welcome interlude in Washington from the chaos and tumult of Donald Trump’s hyperactive tweeting.

THE WINNERS:

DONALD TRUMP: After the tumultuous 2016 and 2020 elections, the last thing the country needed was a contested election result. Donald Trump obliged, winning bigly in both the Electoral College and the popular vote.
