REPORT: 1,479 Alawites killed in Syria under the new regime

NEWSRAEL: With all the talk about a peace agreement between Syria and Israel - there are internal problems in Syria and its regime that cannot be swept under the rug. This is one of them.

Investigations reveal that during the mass killings and looting of 40 areas along Syria’s coast in March 2025 (Esfand 1403), approximately 1,479 Alawites were killed and dozens more went missing.

Several senior officials in Syria’s transitional government reportedly gave direct orders for the executions.

The Alawite population was threatened with a grim ultimatum: choose between slaughter or forced displacement from their homes and communities.
