Vice President JD Vance said Sunday he expects “a lot of people” will be indicted over the alleged Russiagate hoax, which he claims was orchestrated by the Obama administration.
His comments follow a criminal referral from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, accusing Obama-era officials of “the most egregious weaponization and politicization of intelligence in American history” by promoting claims that Russia backed Donald Trump in the 2016 election.
Speaking on Fox News, Vance stressed that indictments should be based on evidence, but pointed to recent revelations from Gabbard and former Trump official Kash Patel. “I absolutely think they broke the law. You’re gonna see a lot of people get indicted,” he said, adding that the intelligence community should focus on stopping terrorists, not “laundering Hillary Clinton’s campaign talking points into the American media.”
Vance alleged that Barack Obama and senior officials “defrauded the American people” by exaggerating intelligence that supported Clinton’s campaign narrative and burying evidence that contradicted it. “They laundered Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign talking points through the American intelligence services,” he claimed.
