Syrian President al-Sharaa’s newly appointed advisor interviewed Osama Bin Laden multiple times before he was killed, and praised the October 7 massacre. That’s according to HaKol HaYehudi, which did a deep dive into Ahmed Muwaffaq Zidan, a former Al Jazeera journalist.
Why did he interview Bin Laden so many times? According to reports, it’s because al-Qaeda viewed Zidan as a trusted individual. On top of that questionable company, he’s also been associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
And what did he say about October 7? Following the massacre, Zidan wrote: “We are happy about the victory of our brothers in Palestine over the criminal Zionists.”
In another post, he wrote: “Whoever finds in their heart, in the current situation, any preference over hope and love for the victory of the sons of Islam in Gaza and Palestine, and does not wish that God will destroy the criminal Jews, must re-examine their faith in their heart. As much as our hatred and renunciation of the Jews—the oppressors, the infidels, the immoral, and the traitorous—is, so too must be our love and loyalty to our brothers in Gaza and Palestine.”
