The International Criminal Court has refused Israel’s request that it overturn a decision made in the ICC probe of Israel’s conduct during the war against Hamas in Gaza, upholding arrest warrants issued for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
On Monday, the ICC’s appellate chamber handed down a ruling in response to Israel’s petition calling to throw out a lower court’s decision which enabled ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan to issue the warrants.
