The chairman of the party Itamar Ben Gvir even insisted that the agreement would specify a date for approving the law - and that it would be a condition for approving next year's budget.
Also included in the agreements was a commitment to an immunity law for IDF soldiers, a High Court overriding law regarding the women of the Western Wall and an amendment to the Law of Return.
This is one of Ben G'vir's election campaign promises, and a law that has already stirred up the political system more than once in the past.
The law was promoted by the chairman of Israel Beytenu Avigdor Lieberman, in the coalition agreements for the Netanyahu government in 2016. However, Netanyahu didn't allow the promotion of the law, for political and legal reasons.
