CENTCOM has reported that US Sailors and Marines aboard the USS Tripoli (LHA-7) have arrived in the US Central Command area of responsibility as of March 27, marking a significant reinforcement of American military presence in the region.
The America-class amphibious assault ship serves as the flagship of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
Together, the force includes approximately 3,500 Sailors and Marines, supported by advanced aviation assets, including transport and strike fighter aircraft, as well as amphibious assault capabilities and tactical combat systems.
